About Me

I'm Amanda, a wife and mother of two, living down here in beautiful, but scorching, San Antonio, TX.  I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Nuclear Engineering in 2005 (WHOOP!) and moved here shortly after with my husband.  During the six months of woeful unemployment that followed I was able to hone my knitting skills and begin to experiment with dyeing yarns.  The last decade has been a whirlwind filled with my growing family, a full-time job that I love and running Lone Star Arts on the side. 

I love attending shows and meeting the community that our craft brings together.  It's amazing to see the people that are brought together by a simple thing like the love of yarn and fiber.  I'm honored that that my friends, family and customers embrace me in my business venture.
